Gender and Communication. Master of social change is a new educational offering that launched the Department of Media, Communication and Culture, which fills the gap in communication training from a gender perspective. The Master is aimed at journalists and professionals from other fields (sociology, humanities, audiovisual communication, advertising, etc.) who want to work with this communication perspective.

Directed by teachers and Joana Isabel Gallego Muntané specialists in this field, the new Master himself has a solid theoretical and practical training to incorporate a gender perspective in the media. The different modules and training courses cover all media (press, radio and television) as well as broadcasting, advertising and fiction. Journalism in the Internet, social networks, documentaries or interactive media data take on a role to report on equality in new areas of communication. A group of young enthusiasts of new technologies coordinate sessions focused on new digital formats in order to maximize the potential of the network.

With a staff consisting of over forty experts in different disciplines, the Master also wants to be a tool for empowerment of the people who attend, so it includes a range of practical activities to help them position themselves as professionals with gender perspective while enhance their personal side.
